Haven’t posted in a minute cuz just been focusing on other things in life but this past week ive been able to get back to one of my biggest passions.... I made a promise to one of my biggest mentors and professor @fcoelhobhz when I started a few years ago. I promised that if he accepted me as his student I would NEVER EVER QUIT. Due to the chaos and intensity of my lifestyle, I’ve unfortunately had to take massive amounts of time off in between training because I just wasn’t home to train and/or moved further away etc etc... but in my mind I knew I wasn’t giving up and I yearned everyday to get back onto the mats. A lot has changed in the world the past few months for everyone and definitely has for me, but the dopest thing has been connecting with my new coach @sdot_bjj and finding my new home @deepwaterbjj . We’re only 3 sessions in but I already know the journey is gonna be epic AF again. I want to thank both of them for welcoming me as their student and friend. For pushing me past my limits and dig deeper than I knew I was capable to bring out the best in me. It’s so crazy to be on the opposite end of that but it’s also amazing. You know how this changes peoples lives for the better, so you know what Im trying to say. And don’t worry Fabs, I’ll def be coming back to Brooklyn to visit so you can smash and beat me up and share my progress! Mad love and my absolute respect to you both 🙏🏼🙏🏼 OSS 👊🏼🥋
